CANADIAN CREDIT CARD SETTLEMENT – $66,530,000 (with more expected)
This lawsuit alleges that VISA and MasterCard conspired with their issuing banks by setting interchange fees and then enforced rules that prohibited merchants from accepting other forms of payment from customers, resulting in those merchants paying excessive fees.
Litigation is still ongoing and we expect the settlement fund to increase. The class period is March 223, 2001 through the present.

CANADIAN CATHODE RAY TUBE (CRT) SETTLEMENT – $49,800,000
This lawsuit alleges the defendants conspired to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize prices of CRT Products resulting in overcharges to consumers who bought products.
Cathode Ray Tube Products refer to any type of color display tube, color picture tube, monochrome display tube or finished products such as televisions or computer monitors. This technology has largely been replaced by flat-panel, LCD and plasma products but was the dominant technology at the time. Your company is likely eligible if it purchased a CRT Product anytime between March 1, 1995 through November 25, 2007.

CANADIAN OPTICAL DISC DRIVE SETTLEMENT – $9,000,000
This lawsuit alleges the defendants unlawfully conspired to fix increase, and/or maintain the price of Optical Disc Drives. Optical Disc Drives (ODDs) refer to DVD-RW, DVD-ROM or COMBO drives manufactured by one or more of the defendants and their co-conspirators.
Settlements have been reached with the following defendants:
– TEAC Corporation, TEAC America, Inc. and TEAC Canada, Ltd. (TEAC)
– NEC Corporation and NEC Canada, Inc. (NEC)
– Hitachi-LG Data Storage, Inc. and Hitachi-LG Data Storage Korea, Inc. (HLDS)
Your company is likely eligible if you purchased Optical Disc Drives and/or products containing Optical Disc Drives in Canada between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2010.
LITHIUM ION BATTERY SETTLEMENT – $6,750,000 (with more expected)
This litigation will reimburse all person and entities who, from January 1, 2000 through January 1, 2012 indirectly purchased a Lithium Ion Battery (Li-Ion Batteries) or Lithium Ion Products (Li-Ion Products) containing Lithium Ion Battery Packs in Canada for their own use and not for resale from one or more of the defendants. Li-Ion products include portable computers, power tools, camcorders, cell phones, etc.
