Settlement: Dial Corporation, et al v. News Corporation et al

Settlement Fund: $244,000,000.00

Case Synopsis: The lawsuit claims that defendants violated United States federal and state antitrust laws by monopolizing an alleged market for third party in-store promotion products. The lawsuit also alleges that defendants entered into exclusive, long-term contracts with retailers that preclude competitors from access to retail space, which harmed competition and raised prices to the Class. News denies any wrongdoing. Defendant denies any wrongdoing and has agreed to settle in order to avoid the expense and risk of further litigation.

Eligibility Requirements: All non-retailer consumer packaged goods firms residing in the United States that directly purchased in-store promotions from the defendants at any time on or after April 2008.
